1284 is recruiting for a PR and Communications Assistant - and offering a benefit package including a PRCA apprenticeship.

The successful candidate will be creating B2B content that gets sent to journalists and published on social media.

The role would suit a college-leaver who can absorb information and wants to fast-track their career.

Alternatively, it be someone who has completed a year or two in university and decided they want to go straight into industry.

"You’ll be managing accounts, learning quickly, and will be in the right environment to do so."

As PR and Communications Assistant, your training will include (but not be restricted to):

  • Developing content and scheduling for publication or distribution, according to agreed communications plans and brand guidelines across print and digital platforms.
  • Contributing to the creation of campaigns and new business proposals.
  • Researching, analysing, and monitoring stakeholders to inform engagement strategies.
  • Monitoring media to keep up to date with current affairs and build knowledge of journalists.
  • Researching, analysing and evaluating client campaigns against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Sharing content with relevant stakeholders and media, to inform and influence general or targeted audiences.
  • Supporting colleagues with routine administrative, logistical, and time-sensitive tasks.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of ad hoc engagement activities, such as events.
  • Contributing to team development through sharing of relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Organising and coordinating stakeholder meetings.
  • Contributing to 1284 organisational objectives and key performance indicators.
