The Leicester Riders Business Club has returned for the 2023-24 season - with comms support from 1284.

The first B2B get-together of the new season sae sponsors invited to take to the court for a training session with Leicester Riders Foundation coaches.

Sponsors and their guests then headed upstairs for a networking lunch.

And they were joined by coach Rob Paternostro and the Riders squad ahead of the season opener two days later agains Cheshire Phoenix.

Guests also received talks from Riders chair, Kevin Routledge, and Leicester Riders Foundation General Manager, Laura Shephard.

1284 has been working with Riders over the summer on the communication of its hospitality and corporate partnerships.

There has been increased interest this summer in Riders corporate packages, with all player sponsorships already sold.

Elsewhere, the vast majority of last season’s corporate sponsors have renewed, and new businesses joining for the first time include Better-IT Limited, ABEL ALARM, 2XL Commercial Finance, and Griffin Fit Limited.

“Our sponsors are crucial to the club, the foundation and our community so we’re thrilled that we’ve had so much support.

“In return our sponsors enjoy an experience different to others and everyone seemed to enjoy our first new look business club.”

The second Riders Business Club meeting of the season takes place on November 20.

It has been arranged to coincide with the Morningside Arena hosting the World Snooker Tour, giving guests a behind-the-scenes look at the Arena’s staging of international tournaments.

George Oliver, Managing Director of 1284, said: "The first business club was exactly as we’d hoped - a group of people coming together with shared interests and a common purpose making for a more purposeful business club.

“We’re looking forward to the next event and other meetings we have planned for the rest of the season.”
