1284 Communications has been named Official PR Partner of the Leicester Riders.

The partnership was announced as the Riders prepare to welcome a US Select side to the Mattioli Arena for a 5 September friendly ahead of the start of the 2025-26 season.

1284 Communications work with the Riders team - last season’s SLB Play-off Champions - to produce feature content over the course of the new season.

Under the agreement, 1284 will return as sponsor of Riders forward Victor Ndoukou - one of British basketball’s brightest young players.

The Great Britain international turns professional this season, having made his way through the Charnwood Riders and Loughborough Riders development pathway.

The 6'8" player has represented Great Britain at various junior levels in both traditional basketball and 3x3 formats.

Victor, from Wigan, last year earned his first senior call-up to the GB Senior Men's 3x3 squad following a standout season playing for both Leicester Riders and Loughborough in the NBL.

The 22-year-old averaged 20 points per game for Loughborough and was named in the NBL Team of the Year.

George Oliver, Managing Director, 1284 Communications, said: “This is our fourth season sponsoring Riders and our second backing Victor.

“He’s made amazing progress since getting into the first team squad, and like us, is connected with Loughborough. We often see him around the University campus.

“Victor’s also a top person, so we were keen to continue supporting him and are proud to have our name on his shirt as he turns pro this season.”

It will also see 1284 also provide a contribution towards kit for the Leicester Riders Foundation, which was founded in 2014 to grow basketball and deliver community programmes in Leicester and Leicestershire.

LRF engages more than 20,000 participants annually through coaching, development, education initiatives, and inclusive social projects, using basketball to educate, engage, and inspire people of all ages.

Its work spans grassroots to elite sport, supporting players, coaches, and volunteers, aiming to make basketball accessible while promoting health, wellbeing, and social inclusion.

Kevin Routledge, Chairman, Leicester Riders, said: “We are delighted to be working again with 1284 Communications, who have been a hugely valuable partner for the Riders.

“Their expert team provides us with valuable insights and strategies, and their support allows Riders to continue its success in a highly competitive league.”
