1284 has added a new channel for sharing stories about East Midlands innovation and economic development - we’re now on Facebook too.
LinkedIn will remain our primary space for professional updates, thought leadership and sector news.
But as our client base has grown - particularly among SMEs, charities, local authorities and community organisations - it’s become clear that some people look to Facebook for their updates.
Our new page is designed to meet those audiences where they are.
We’ll be using it to share:
- Case studies showing how strategic communications support growth, funding bids and stakeholder engagement
- News from clients and partners across the region
- Highlights from events, awards and community projects
- Practical tips on corporate communications, PR and content marketing in plain language
Content Editor Emma Oliver said: “A lot of the nonprofit and other community organisations we work with use Facebook as their primary method of keeping in touch with their own audiences - whether that’s residents, members or supporters.
“Being on Facebook means we can share our work and insight in the same space they’re already using every day.
“It gives people a more accessible, informal way to see what 1284 is doing - and to spot opportunities where our strategic comms might help them too.
“It gives us the chance to be a bit more informal and creative to engage our audiences and we can deliver content on the platform that might not necessarily fit Linkedin. If you use Facebook to keep up with what’s happening then we’d love you to give the page a follow."
