1284 Communications has officially launched CommsTally® - its purpose-built marketing communications campaign management platform.
CommsTally® gives 1284 clients a radical level of transparency over the planning and delivery of their PR, marketing, and communications outputs.
Built with funding from Innovate UK, CommsTally® reshapes how agencies and in-house teams plan, track and prove the value of their comms work.

CommsTally® is a cloud-based platform offering clients a single source of 24/7 oversight of their marketing, PR and wider communications.
Rather than juggling spreadsheets, email threads, and scattered reports, CommsTally® provides a unified portal that clients can access 24/7 - and then review exactly what is happening in their brand’s name.
CommsTally® shows where each task being completed by 1284 sits - and how al campaign activity knits into campaign objectives.
The platform is built to the OASIS framework - the Government Communication Service’s leading model for planning and evaluating campaigns. It means every campaign in CommsTally® has a golden thread through objectives and audience insight through to strategy, implementation, and scoring of outcomes.

1284 began developing the idea behind CommsTally® while taking part in the East Midlands Create Growth programme. A prototype was developed after the company completed the Innovate UK–funded AI+ course delivered by Institute and led by Loughborough College.
The prototype showed market demand from SMEs looking for clearer visibility and better measurement of comms work.

In late 2025, Innovate UK awarded 1284 £55,000 through its Create Growth fund to accelerate the build of a minimum viable product (MVP). This supported an overall £80,000 project delivered with AI and digital automation specialists Digital Planning - a long-time 1284 associate.

CommsTally® translates that consultancy experience into a tool that supports both 1284’s own clients and other businesses facing pressures on time, budgets, and ROI.
1284 will continue to iterate the platform based on client feedback, exploring further automation and AI‑driven features to help your teams spend less time on admin and more time on high‑value creative and strategic work.
