1284 Communications has increased its office space by 50% as it prepares for the next phase of its planned growth.
The strategic consultancy has moved into a larger office at the Advanced Technology Innovation Centre (ATIC) in Loughborough.
The move gives the team more space to collaborate, welcome clients, and add additional deskspace as it prepares to deliver an expanding range of strategic communications, PR, content and digital marketing work.
It also cements 1284’s longstanding focus on Loughborough as a base for its work across the wider East Midlands region. The company has operated out of the LUSEP site since it was founded in 2020.
1284 has established a regional reputation by helping ambitious organisations tell clearer stories, strengthen their profile, and connect with the audiences that matter. It was named the CIPR’s Midlands Small PR Agency of the Year earlier this year.
The new office provides a stronger base from which to continue that progress, while simultaneously creating capacity for the agency’s expansion plans over the next five years.
The decision follows the recent onboarding of several significant new clients, adding further momentum to 1284’s growth.
1284 specialises in telling the story of Midlands innovation and regional economic development. Being based at the heart of Loughborough’s innovation ecosystem keeps the team connected to the businesses, researchers and partners shaping the area’s future.
George Oliver, 1284 Managing Director, said: “Moving into a larger office at ATIC is a positive step for 1284.
“We are proud to be a Loughborough business and this investment reflects both the momentum we have built and our confidence in what comes next.
“After securing a number of major new client relationships, we wanted a workspace that better supports our team, gives us room to grow and provides a welcoming place to bring clients and collaborators together.
“It is an investment in our ambition for the next five years, and in continuing to deliver meaningful communications work for organisations across the East Midlands and further afield.”
