1284 Communications was honoured to receive a special award from Leicester Dynamite Basketball Club in recognition of its work supporting Leicester’s biggest junior basketball programme.
The club’s annual awards night celebrated another hugely successful season, with four teams winning their respective leagues and two earning promotion.
Players from every team were recognised with trophies for Most Improved Player, Defensive Player of the Year, and Most Valuable Player - reflecting the club’s emphasis on development, effort and team contribution.
At the end of the evening, Head Coach Dave Harris announced one final surprise - a special award he reserves for outstanding service to the club. Dave invited 1284’s Emma and George Oliver to the stage to present them with the award, thanking them for their contribution to Leicester Dynamite’s growth off the court.
Earlier this year, 1284 helped the club secure a Let’s Get Moving community sport marketing grant, supporting a major investment in a new website, designed by 1284 and delivered by long-time 1284 associate, web developer Graham Barr.
The revamped site gives the club a digital identity that better reflects its winning story, safeguarding standards, inclusive ethos and player outcomes.
Emma has also grown Leicester Dynamite’s Instagram presence, using it to share success stories, celebrate teams’ achievements, attract new players and raise the club’s profile.
“This award was completely unexpected,” Emma said. ”We just wanted to help the club get out there and tell its story - the hard work of the players, coaches and volunteers speaks for itself - and it’s a privilege to help share that and raise awareness of everything the club does.”The club’s annual awards night celebrated another hugely successful season, with four teams winning their respective leagues and two earning promotion.
