1284 has supported Leicester’s biggest junior basketball club in launching a new academy aimed at encouraging young children to start playing the game sooner.

Website and social media content were created to promote Leicester Dynamite’s Future Dynamite Academy programme and engage 8-10 year-old players and their families.

1284 works with Leicester Dynamite on a pro bono basis, as part of  its ESG programme of work with non-profit organisations.

We previously helped create the club a sharp new brochure website to brand identity and purpose. 1284 team members also manage social media accounts and created the club's first ever Season Review impact report - telling a compelling story of the club's winning performance for stakeholders, sponsors, supporters, players and their families.

Helping to promote the new academy reflects 1284’s commitment to supporting community sports organisations to reach more people, tell their story clearly and create opportunities for more young players to get involved.

The Academy will be officially introduced at an open day on Saturday at WQE College Ball Hall, held during the club’s community basketball session. 

Children in Years 4 and 5 and their families will be able to meet coaches and current players, learn about the pathway and experience the club’s welcoming environment.

Designed as a development-focused introduction to basketball, the Future Dynamite Academy will help children build core skills, coordination, teamwork and confidence before progressing to the club’s Under-12 league squads. 

Head Coach Dave Harris said the aim is for children to enjoy basketball, train together to learn the fundamentals and grow in confidence so they can be ready for the next step when the time is right.

“We were pleased to support the launch by developing clear, engaging website and social media content that helped explain the Academy’s purpose and encourage families to find out more.

“Strong community sport programmes need to be visible and easy to understand. The Future Dynamite Academy gives young players a supportive place to learn, enjoy the game and develop their confidence.”
