1284 Communications Managing Director George Oliver has joined the judging panel for this year’s East Midlands Chamber Business Awards. 

Judging for the 2025/26 Leicestershire Business Awards takes place on Wednesday, with George sitting on the panel for three categories: Innovation, CSR Leadership, and Digital Transformation. 1284 has considerable experience in all three areas.

A board member of East Midlands Chamber, George brings a strong understanding of how organisations evolve, adapt, and tell their story.

The awards themselves highlight organisations that not only deliver strong performance, but also break new ground - whether by launching new products and services, creating real social impact, or using digital technology to transform how they operate. 

The Leicestershire Business Awards dinner takes place on 26 February at the King Power Stadium. The evening brings together businesses from across the county to celebrate their achievements and recognise the people and teams behind them.

Twelve awards will be handed out on the night, with guests also hearing from the winners about their journeys - from early ideas and challenges to growth, impact and future plans. 

The awards are an opportunity to share inspiration, mark successes, and give a well‑deserved pat on the back to organisations that are making a real difference.

George said: “Being asked to help judge the Chamber awards is a real privilege. 

“The businesses we’ll be hearing from are doing exciting things - whether that’s innovating in their markets, investing in their communities or using digital to work smarter. 

“What I’ll be looking for are entries that show clear purpose, real impact, and lessons others can learn from. 

“These awards are a great reminder of the ambition and creativity across Leicestershire, and I’m looking forward to celebrating that at the King Power dinner next month.”
