1284 has been shortlisted for Small PR Consultancy of the Year at the PRide Awards 2023.

We are among six finalists in our category of the Midlands region event.

PRide is the annual regional awards for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).

1284 won the Silver Award in the Independent Practitioner of the Year at last year’s Midlands PRide awards.

We have now moved up a category following the arrival of account director Amy Orton Chart.PR MCIPR in March.

George Oliver Chart.PR MCIPR, managing director of 1284, said: “It’s our first year in the Small Consultancy of the Year category so it’s going to be tough.

“We will be up against larger, very experienced agencies so there’s going to be a lot of learning.

“However, we are buoyed after winning the Mark of Excellence in the CIPR’s national awards in London last month and are looking forward to making our case in the Midlands.”

The Chartered Institute of Public Relations is the world's only Royal Chartered body for PR professionals.

Entrants span East and West Midlands, with judging conducted by CIPR members from outside the region.

Midlands PRide regional winners will be announced at an awards night in Birmingham in November.
